For buyers
Before placing an order
Both private individuals and professional sellers / businesses trade on Rivoult, so before you place an order it is important to check the specific seller’s information and their sales terms.
Before buying, Rivoult recommends that you:
- read the product description carefully;
- check whether the item is new, used, or another stated condition;
- review the product photos;
- check the seller’s information;
- review the delivery and return terms;
- check the delivery information provided;
- for car parts, verify the part number, compatibility, and any other information the seller provides.
If a listing is missing information, Rivoult recommends contacting the seller directly before you buy.
Secure payments
Payments on Rivoult are processed using Stripe’s payment infrastructure.
Stripe helps process payments securely, authenticate transactions, and reduce fraud-related risk. When sellers register with Stripe, identity checks and, where applicable, business-information checks may also be performed.
Using Stripe adds an extra layer of payment security and traceability, but it does not by itself guarantee a specific transaction, product quality, or that a dispute will be resolved in the buyer’s favour.
More about the payment system is available on the official Stripe Connect page.
Platform payment and payout rules are also described in the Payments section of the Terms of use.
Delivery
Delivery methods, prices, and estimated timelines can depend on the specific seller, the item, the parcel size, and the destination country.
If a tracking number is provided, you can use it to follow the shipment status.
More details: Delivery page.
International orders
When buying from another country, customs procedures, import VAT, duties, customs brokerage, or other charges may apply.
This is especially relevant for goods shipped between the United Kingdom and the European Union.
Unless otherwise stated for a specific offer or order, Rivoult recommends assessing possible import charges in the destination country before you buy. If import charges are not included in the item or shipping price, the recipient / buyer usually pays them under the destination country’s rules.
Official information on buying goods from non-EU countries and possible import charges is available from the European Commission.
Received the wrong or damaged item?
If you received the wrong item, a damaged item, or an item that significantly does not match the seller’s description, Rivoult recommends documenting the issue as soon as possible and contacting the seller about return options.
Keep photos of the item and packaging, shipment information, and other order-related details. This information may be needed when resolving the issue with the seller, the carrier, or when reviewing a return request.
Do not return the item on your own until a return request has been submitted and you have received the relevant return instructions.
More information: Returns page.
